Sean and Krista are adding another child to their noisy, loving, & multi-generational home!

Sean and Krista live in a small north Texas town in a multi-generational home that includes the couple, their 3 children, Krista's parents, and 3 dogs! They say "Our house may be a little crazy, but it is filled with a lot of love!" Sean works in IT and Krista is a midwife and a home school mom. We loved reading about Sean and Krista and their journey - and as usual in adoption, it is filled with twists and turns. Here is their story:

Our adoption journey started over a decade ago when God placed adoption on our hearts. We began to pray for God's timing and His will to be done. We had always been drawn towards the China adoption program and in January of 2018, God lead us to a waiting child's profile and after prayerfully considering it, we said YES!

Since January, we have been busy gathering necessary documents, working with our adoption agency on our home study and dossier paperwork, and pulling together all the required items that allowed us to FINALLY mail our completed dossier to China at the end of May!

As our paperwork was being translated and reviewed to officially match us, we hoped that we would be able to travel in early fall to pick up a toddler girl who is currently waiting in an orphanage in central China.

Then something happened that changed the course of our adoption.  More medical information on the little girl was given to us in the middle of June and we realized that we were not approved or able to provide for the level of care she was going to need. With so many tears, prayers, and completely broken hearts we had to un-match with her file and move forward in faith that God would carry us through.

We reviewed files and officially sent in our letter of intent to adopt our son at the end of June. We should be less than 30 days our from getting our official 'yes' from China and we cannot wait to bring home our son!

Our older children are very excited to have another sibling join the team! The older girls can’t wait to play with him and pick out cute outfits for him to wear. Our 3-year-old son often talked about his younger sibling and about once a week tries to convince us that he is putting on shoes so he can “go to China!” It has been fun to watch the excitement that they have grow as the process has unfolded.

Shop this week to help Sean and Krista with some of the final fees and travel money they will need to bring their son home. A portion of all sales this week will go towards specifically helping their adoption.
